Research Intern

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Intern to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive literature review on the relationship between steward leadership and profit. This research will explore critical questions such as whether purpose-oriented organisations are more profitable in the long run and how businesses can ensure their long-term financial viability by addressing environmental or social issues. The successful candidate will also support outreach efforts for the annual awards.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful research that can impact business practices globally.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct independent desktop research on the relationship between steward leadership and profit.
• Review and analyse academic papers, industry reports, and other relevant literature.
• Summarise findings and present insights clearly and concisely.
• Develop case studies on organisations that achieve financial sustainability by solving an environmental or social problem.
• Support outreach efforts for SL25, including stakeholder engagement.
• Provide operational support for SL25 events.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or have recently completed a bachelor's degree in the Social Sciences, Humanities, Environmental Science, or a related field, with a strong proficiency in data analysis.
• Strong interest in responsible business practices and leadership.
• Excellent research and analytical skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
