Research & Insights Intern (National Transport Workers Union)

The National Transport Workers Union (NTWU) is an affiliated union under the National Trade Unions Congress (NTUC) in Singapore, representing workers across Singapore's transport sector.

NTWU serves a broad membership of transport workers and advocate for the members welfare and interests through collective bargaining, member welfare programs, and fostering cohesion, solidarity and professional development within the transport workers.

NTWU partners with employers, government agencies and tripartite stakeholders to address industry challenges, improve employment conditions, and pursue forward-looking workforce initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research the impact of automation, autonomous vehicles and AI on the transport workforce.
• Support workforce transition strategies focused on employability and sustainability.
• Assist in wage benchmarking and competitiveness studies within the sector.
• Analyze data to identify workforce risks, trends and opportunities.
• Prepare concise research briefs and presentations for policy and stakeholder discussions.

Requirements:

• Strong analytical and research skills, with an interest in labour market trends, technology, or public policy.
• Ability to turn data into clear, actionable insights.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with data analysis tools is an advantage.
• Motivated by work that contributes to fair outcomes, long-term sustainability and worker advancement.
