The candidate will be responsible for conducting research on creating and training LLMs for log anomaly detection and interpretation. Successful candidate will be part of an active research team led by Profs Gao Debin, David Lo, and Pang Guansong from School of Computing and Information Systems, Singapore Management University.
Candidate's core responsibilities are:
- Process and handle publicly available log datasets
- Develop and design approaches for utilizing LLMs for log sequence analysis
- Perform large-scale empirical evaluation on the designed approaches
- Write research reports and papers on the obtained models and results
- Work with other team members hired for the same project
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in computer science, information technology, or closely related disciplines from a reputable institution of higher learning, with a focus on machine learning or data science
- Past research experience on adaptation or tuning of large language models preferred
- Demonstrated experience and know-how on machine learning
- Excellent publication track records. Publications at top-tier AI/ML/cybersecurity venues will be advantageous
- Good analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently and also collaboratively with team members
