About the Job

SUTD invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow appointment, for a project in carbon-aware optimization and control of cloud workload (e.g., generative AI) in a 6G-integrated networking and communication system.

What You'll Do

• Formulate and carry out research in the design, analysis, and experimental evaluation of (i) optimization and control algorithms and (ii) collaborative network protocols, for supporting modern cloud computing workload (e.g., generative AI tasks) in a wide-area 6G-integrated network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with fellow researchers, industry partners, or PhD students.
• Document research activities and findings.
• Publish/present in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.

Who We're Looking For

• PhD in computer science, computer engineering, or related areas
• A track record of publications in high-quality journals and/or conferences.
• Good analytical and system building skills for network and wireless communication systems.
• Working knowledge of (i) network simulations, and (ii) machine learning software tools and systems.
• Good written/oral communication skills in English for writing publications and presenting at conferences.
• Ability to work well in a team.
