Research Fellow

The research fellow reports to the Principal Investigator (PI) and assists the PI to achieve research goals by executing research support excellently, efficiently and with empathy. His/her key responsibilities include:

To assist Principal Investigator and collaborators on research projects, including establishing SOPs, literature search and review, designing projects, performing experiments and data analysis etc.
To collaborate as Co-Principal Investigator and secure competitive external and internal research grant as PrincipalInvestigator.
To provide necessary assistance in the operation and maintenance of multiple imaging research databases in compliance with prevailing legal regulations and institutional rules, and core research equipment and facilities.
To provide some scientific advice and support on research methodology and techniques to the research team for analytics of structured and image based data.
To act as the trusted third party to de-identify patient data for research
To perform statistical analysis of data, and facilitate data visualisation and analytics
To prepare reports and/or presentations to communicate findings of image based and other research analysis to internal/external stakeholders

Job Description:

• PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Vision or other related disciplines, ideally with working experience
• Proficiency in using R/Python, Tableau or OBIEE, and SPSS or Stata
• Experience in handling/processing/manipulation/analytics, ideally of both structured and non-structured image based data
• Meticulous with an eye for details
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Resourceful, innovative, and creative in problem solving
• Working knowledge of research process and medical terminologies is an advantage
• Publication track record as first or last author in relevant field
• Prior working experience in research laboratories
