Job Description

. Thermoplastic Polymer Synthesis
. Recycling and upcycling of plastic waste
. Organometallic catalysts design and synthesis, as well as mechanistic investigation into their use in plastic depolymerization
. Mentor PhD students
. Draft grant proposals
. Oversee lab safety

Job Requirements

. PhD degree in chemistry, materials science and engineering, or chemical engineering.
. Ample research experience in polymer synthesis (particularly ATRP, RAFT and ROMP), organometallic catalysts synthesis, and mechanistic investigation into their use in plastic recycling and upcycling
. Solid background/experience in polymer chemistry and organometallic compound designs.
. Excellent communication and writing skills
. Strong publication record
. Prior undergraduate and master students mentoring experience
