Job Description

The SingHealth Duke-NUS Institute for Brain and Behavioural Health (IBBH) focuses on translational mental health research. The IBBH seeks to understand, prevent, and address mental health challenges over the life course.

The Chronobiology and Sleep Laboratory (CSL) at Duke-NUS Medical School studies biological, behavioural, and societal dimensions of sleep and mental health. Research topics include identifying the drivers and consequences of sleep problems during adolescence, and testing interventions for improving cognitive performance and mental well-being. The postdoctoral research fellow will lead studies on sleep and behavioural health in student populations. Study methods include surveys, collection of field data using wearables, and laboratory assessments of cognition, mood, and melatonin. Responsibilities include project management, co-designing studies, analysing behavioural datasets, and preparing reports and manuscripts.

Job Requirements

• PhD in psychology, neuroscience, the biomedical sciences, or a related discipline.
• Have a strong track record of leading and publishing human research studies in psychology and/or the medical sciences.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills to communicate with participants, and to work in a team-based setting.
• Have strong computer and/or analytical skills.
• Prior experience with R or other programming languages is preferred but not required.
• Able to work flexible hours to cover research study events.
