Hyundai-NTU-A.STAR Corp Lab serves to drive research development and industry adoption of AI, Robotics, 3D Printing technologies, and Digital Twins through collaborative projects with HMGICS, and with schools and research centres within and beyond the University.
Responsibilities:
Manage research projects, including milestones, deliverables, KPIs, and administration of major research/industry initiatives.
Oversee day‑to‑day laboratory operations, facilities, and a team of researchers, while driving cost efficiency and process improvements.
Conduct hands‑on experimental work and support research outputs, including proposals, journal papers, and conference publications.
Prepare communications content and interface with industry partners and stakeholders.
Ensure all activities and procedures comply with the University's policy framework and support coordination of Hyundai‑NTU‑A.STAR Corporate Lab activities.
Requirements:
Ph.D. in the area of Industrial, Mechanical, and Materials Engineering
Engineering Design and Optimization
Human Factor and Ergonomics
AI-based Sensor Fusion
Monitoring and Inspection using various sensors
Optimization and control to implement sensors.
Skills: FEM software (Comsol Multiphysics, Abaqus), CAD software (Solidworks, AutoCAD), Visual C++, LabVIEW, Pythons, EEG, and eye-tracking systems
Demonstrated expertise in the area of design, methods, modelling, and optimization for implementing multimodal sensors, particularly in the automotive applications.
Knowledge of engineering design, human factor, control, optimization, FEA simulation and experience in sensors will be considered.
