Job Description

We are seeking a Research Fellow (Postdoctoral Researcher) to join the laboratory of Kaiwen Chen at the National University of Singapore. The successful candidate will join a young and dynamic research team investigating the molecular mechanisms of innate immunity, cell death signalling, and host-pathogen interactions. The successful candidate will (1) identify novel regulators of innate immune and cell death signalling or (2) examine host cells response to microbial infection. The candidate is expected to design and perform experiments, analyse data, and contribute to the preparation of manuscripts.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Immunology, Microbiology, or a related discipline
  • Published at least one first-author primary research article
  • Strong background in cell biology or infection biology
  • Experience in molecular biology techniques, such as cloning, site-directed mutagenesis, lentiviral transduction and bacterial mutagenesis
  • Experience with animal handling and flow cytometry
  • Experience genome-wide CRISPR screen is highly desirable

Terms of Appointment

Appointments will be made on a 1-year contract basis, with renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. The salary package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
