Job Description
The successful candidate will work with Asst. Prof. Ying Kai LOH on the synthesis and isolation of next-generation carbene species under a project on Breaking the Octet Rule: From Octet-Defying Carbon Species to Transition Metal Surrogates.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
1) Conduct experiments
2) Manage the lab
3) Mentor students
Qualifications / Discipline:
. PhD in Chemistry
Skills:
. Schlenk line and glovebox techniques for chemical synthesis
Experience:
. Handling air- and moisture-sensitive compounds.
