Lakeside Family Services (Lakeside) is a charity serving the community since 1993. We strengthen families, support vulnerable groups, empower seniors, assist ex-offenders, and help women with unsupported pregnancies. We are an IPC and member of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS).
Job Summary
This role supports and drives practice research for Lakeside Family Services by coordinating research projects, analysing data, developing evaluation frameworks, and translating findings into actionable recommendations to improve programmes and services.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement practice research projects to strengthen evidence-informed practice
- Develop research questions, conduct literature reviews, and design research methodologies for projects
- Collate and analyse programme reports and data to assess effectiveness
- Develop evaluation tools, outcome indicators, and feedback mechanisms to measure programme impact and client outcomes
- Translate research findings into practical recommendations to enhance programme quality and inform service planning
- Support programme evaluation initiatives to ensure continuous improvement and sector knowledge sharing
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Sociology, Social Sciences, Public Health, Family Studies, Statistics, Research, or related discipline
- Preferably at least 3 years of relevant experience in research, programme evaluation, social service, psychology, counselling, social work, public health, sociology, family studies, or related field
- Training in research methods, data analysis, or programme evaluation is advantageous
- Experience in project coordination, organisation, and follow-up
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Prior experience in social service or programme evaluation is an advantage
