Our client is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Speech and Audio Research Engineer to join their team in Singapore.
Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
- Participating in research and development of advanced intelligent speech and audio algorithms for embedded system including, but not restricted to: earphones, smart watches, and IoT devices.
- Being independent in research of advanced speech and audio algorithms and the development or implementation of such algorithms for embedded systems.
Required Skills
- Experience or knowledge of acoustic tests measurements for data acquisition and be familiar with state-of-the-art testing equipment.
- Experience of conducting objective/subjective evaluation of various audio algorithms on speech enhancement, active noise control, binaural rendering.
- Extensive experience in signal processing, acoustic modelling, adaptive filtering, noise suppression, active noise cancellation, hearing through etc.
- Ability in handling C, Python, and script codes for system modelling, simulation and system implementation.
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with a focus in audio signal processing or speech processing.
- Extensive knowledge in at least one of the areas including: signal processing applied to audio, active noise control, speech enhancement, adaptive filtering and microphone array signal processing.
- Solid mathematical background.
- Working knowledge of C/C++ and/or Matlab/Python scripting as well as DSP algorithm optimizations.
- Expertise in AI applied to audio, with hands-on experience in at least one deep learning framework in Python.
- Hands on experience in DSP code optimization and deployment for embedded audio systems.
- Knowledge and expertise of earphone active noise cancellation/hear through algorithm design and tuning, measurements and etc.
- Top-ranking and/or award receivers in world competitions in speech/audio signal processing field.
