Job Description

Established as a partnership between Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the National Healthcare Group (NHG), the Asian Centre for Health Behavioural Insights & Interventions (HABITS) aims to improve population health through multidisciplinary and translational research to support interventions, policy and programmes strengthen national capabilities through the integration of translational research into health intervention processes and increase Singapore's regional and international profile as a centre of excellence for health behavioural sciences.

We are looking for a Research Engineer II to work closely with the Centre's Pillar Leads and Directors to support the management of research projects and the development of competitive research grant applications. The role will focus on project management, research expertise, managing and day-to-day research operations, such as data storage, budgets, expenses, assets, and ethics approvals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, validate, and deploy AI algorithms for digital health and AI-driven research projects.

  • Lead technical innovation by exploring and implementing emerging AI methodologies.

  • Support data platform development and retrospective data collection and analysis.

  • Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, coordinators, and biostatisticians to deliver project outcomes.

  • Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present results to investigators and collaborators.

  • Prepare technical reports and research updates for project leadership.

  • Mentor junior AI researchers and contribute to capability building within the team.

Job Requirements:

  • At least a Master's in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Entry-level candidate with demonstrated expertise in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, deep learning, or digital health technologies.

  • Strong expertise in developing and applying AI solutions to real-world healthcare challenges.

  • Good understanding of clinical research and healthcare data. . Proficiency in machine learning, deep learning, and advanced AI techniques.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
