Research Development Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a driven and innovative Research and Development (R&D) Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between conceptual design and physical reality—utilizing advanced CAD tools, simulation software, and hands-on experimental validation to develop high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective mechanical solutions for our next-generation products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components, case parts, and internal mechanisms using 3D CAD tools.
• Perform critical analyses including Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), form/fit/function, and tolerance stack-up studies.
• Develop, build, and refine physical prototypes based on simulation insights and conceptual designs.
• Design and execute experimental setups to characterize mechanical performance, ensuring compliance with product reliability standards.
• Communicate closely with external suppliers and manufacturing partners regarding technical specs, tooling, and performance goals.
• Work within project teams to deliver cost-effective, high-quality mechanical solutions for low-to-moderately complex products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical part design and full part ownership.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Creo (or equivalent 3D CAD design software).
• Strong design experience in plastic parts, injection molding tooling, and plastic manufacturing processes.
• Prior experience in Consumer Electronics / Consumer Product Design.
