Assist in formulation and new product development by carrying out lab trials and evaluating product performance.
Participate in production trials and process validation of personal care and cosmetic products.
Liaise with suppliers for raw materials sourcing for new projects or improve the current formulation.
Keep updated with current cosmetic and skincare trends, consumer insights, and competitive product strategies.
Ensure product development compliance with ISO 22716, Halal, ASEAN Cosmetic Directive (ACD), and statutory and company requirements.
Conduct product stability, packaging compatibility, efficacy testing, and accurate trending of results.
Manage and maintain all documents and records to ensure the laboratory is in a state of readiness for testing support.
Participate actively in validation methods for analytical testing of new and existing products.
Resolution of technical issues that arise during the development, production, operation, or performance-based.
Participate in corrective and preventive actions on customer complaints by ensuring details are recorded and monitored and investigate products that fail compliance standards.
Ensure adequate chemical inventories and lab consumables.
Maintain workplace safety and cleanliness.
Requirements:
Degree in Chemistry or equivalent, specializing in personal care and cosmetic products.
Minimum 2 years of working experience/background in the personal care and cosmetic manufacturing industry is preferred.
Knowledge of personal care production and processing will be an added advantage.
Understand how to develop formulation & functions of raw material.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve complex problems in a timely and effective manner.
Strong sense of responsibility.
Able to work independently and as a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
