Full-time Research Assistant position at the Ministry of Education (MOE)

Branch: Psychological Services Branch, Special Educational Needs Division, MOE

Duration: 21-weeks duration (around 25 Jun to 20 Nov 2026)

Project Description

Research Assistants will have the opportunity to be trained in and conduct psycho-educational assessments for students in mainstream schools. They will also gain insights into the research and processes that shaped the policy and practice of educational psychology in schools in Singapore. Research Assistants will work alongside qualified Educational Psychologists (EPs) in MOE and gain a better understanding of their work in mainstream schools.

Key Requirements:

1. A Singaporean citizen who has completed their:

. Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) or Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Psychology (NUS)

. Bachelor of Social Sciences (with Honours) in Psychology (NTU) or

. Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) (JCU)

2. Good communication and interpersonal skills

3. Able to work independently

4. Enjoys working with children

5. Experience in administration of standardised pscyho-educational assessments is preferred, but not required

6. Good data management practices - Meticulous and able to manage large sets of data on Excel.

7. Able to commit to in-person work arrangements for the full period of 25 June to 20 November 2026.
