Job Scope
- Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to prolong the lifespan of our shipping containers
- Coordinate and supervise the repair and refurbishment of damaged containers
- Liaise with suppliers and service providers to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials
- Monitor inventory levels and manage the ordering of replacement components
- Oversee a team of technicians and ensure all maintenance work is completed to the highest standard
- Analyse repair data and identify areas for process improvement
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a maintenance or repair management role, preferably in the shipping or logistics industry
- Strong technical knowledge of container construction and repair methods
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to diagnose and address complex issues
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of technicians
- Proficient in inventory management and procurement processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
- Thorough understanding of relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
