We are aleading pediatrics therapy Centre located in Orchard Road to provide earlyintervention for children with special needs and children with developmentaldelays.
We are looking for a dedicated andadaptable Relief Early Intervention Teacher to provide temporaryteaching support for children with developmental, learning, behavioural,sensory, or communication needs in an early intervention setting. The teacherworks collaboratively with therapists, educators, and families to support eachchild's developmental goals through structured and play-based learningexperiences. This role requires flexibility, patience, and the ability toquickly adapt to different classroom routines and student profiles.
What You'll Do:
Teaching& Intervention
- Deliver individual and group-based early intervention sessions based on existing lesson plans and Individualised Education Plans (IEPs).
- Support children in areas such as communication, social-emotional development, cognitive skills, adaptive behaviour, and school readiness.
- Implement evidence-based teaching strategies, behavioural supports, and classroom management techniques.
- Adapt teaching materials and activities to meet varying developmental and learning needs.
- Facilitate meaningful engagement through structured play, routines, and sensory activities.
Classroom& Student Support
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support classroom transitions, daily routines, and behaviour regulation.
- Observe and document student participation, progress, and behaviour during sessions.
- Assist with preparation of teaching resources and classroom setup where required.
- Be flexible and ready to support different age groups and classes when assigned.
Communication& Feedback
- Provide clear and concise handover notes to the regular teacher on student participation, behavior, and lesson progress.
- Collaborate respectfully with other educators and support staff.
- Escalate any urgent concerns to the Lead Teacher in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Diplomaor Degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Psychology, ChildDevelopment, or related field.
- Experienceworking with young children with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder(ASD), ADHD, speech and language delays, or related needs preferred.
- Freshgraduates with relevant practicum experience may also be considered.
- Able to commit up to 8 hours per day.
- Candidates who are Singaporeans, Singapore Permanent Residents or have apre-approved pass to work in Singapore will be considered for the role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and sensitivity to theneeds of a diverse and multicultural environment.
- Knowledge& skills to manage behavior through appropriate behavior interventionstrategies
- Suitable for candidates who want flexibility and manage their familytime.
Terms of Employment
- Assignments are provided on an as-needed basis to cover teacher absences. The relief teacher will be engaged only when required.
- Working Hours: 9:00 am - 5 pm, Monday to Friday
