This role sits within a high-performing regional team and will focus on managing reinsurance claims across APAC, while supporting client advisory and driving efficient recoveries.
You will play a key role in handling complex claims, engaging directly with clients and reinsurers, and contributing to overall claims strategy and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end reinsurance claims processes
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, supporting claims advocacy and recovery efforts
- Review underlying insurance claims and provide input on coverage and recovery positions
- Prepare and submit claims notifications, advices, and bordereaux to reinsurers
- Proactively track and follow up on outstanding recoveries to ensure timely settlement
- Support negotiations with reinsurers on moderately complex and large loss claims
- Work closely with brokers, clients, and reinsurers across multiple APAC markets
- Contribute to claims reporting, analysis, and insights to support placements and renewals
- Assist in resolving queries and supporting dispute management where required
- Maintain strong adherence to contract wordings and market practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business, Finance, or related field
- 5–7 years of experience in reinsurance claims within a broker, insurer, or reinsurer
- Solid understanding of reinsurance structures
- Exposure to APAC portfolios and cross-border claims handling
- Experience handling complex or large loss claims is advantageous
- Progress toward or completion of ACII, ANZIIF, or equivalent
