Our client, a US MNC in automotive manufacturing, is looking for a Regional Trade Compliance Manager to be part of the team. This position would require someone with a strong understanding of international trade frameworks and would be covering the APAC region.
Salary Budget: Up to S$8,000 , comes with 1 Month AWS + VB (depends on performance)
Job Responsibilities
Oversee a well-structured and efficient import and export compliance function, ensuring full adherence to applicable trade regulations.
Job Requirements
Minimum Bachelor's degree or higher in International Trade, Logistics Management, Law, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Professional trade compliance certifications (e.g., Singapore local trade compliance certifications) are preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in customs and trade compliance, with strong expertise in Singapore trade operations and regulatory processes (e.g., Singapore Customs, IRAS, and other relevant authorities).
Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end import and export compliance, including customs declarations, export control screening, and sanctions compliance.
Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., logistics, procurement, manufacturing, engineering) within a multinational organization exposure to the automotive or manufacturing sector is highly advantageous.
Proven ability to independently conduct compliance audits, manage regulatory inspections, and resolve customs-related disputes.
Strong knowledge of Singapore trade regulations, including the Customs Act, GST Act, export control regulations, and sanctions regimes (UN, EU, US, and Singapore).
Proficiency in trade compliance systems and tools, such as SAP GTS, ERP platforms, and Singapore customs declaration systems (e.g., TradeNet).
Solid understanding of international trade frameworks, including Incoterms, FTA utilization (e.g., ASEAN FTA, Singapore-China FTA), and supply chain security standards such as C-TPAT.
Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret compliance data and proactively identify risks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (required for regulatory engagement)
Highly self-motivated with a strong bias for action.
Willingness to travel within the APAC region as required.
Working hours: 8am - 5.33pm (Mon-Fri) , 100% Work on-site
