Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Group complies with all cross-border and local tax regulations in Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia etc. including and not limited to corporate tax, federal tax, state tax, withholding tax, sales tax and transfer pricing.

  • Work with tax agents to ensure the timely and accurate preparation and submission of all tax returns and industry requested statistical data

  • Maintain monthly sales and withholding tax compliances in individual state and provide the summary report to HQ for audits and Corporate Income Tax submission

  • Maintain organized and accurate tax records, documentation, and supporting materials in compliance with record-keeping requirements and reports to the management.

  • Identify tax-saving opportunities, evaluating the projects revenue and cost breakdown, provide risk evaluation summary to HQ

  • Recommend and execute strategies to minimize tax liabilities while remaining in compliance with tax laws.

  • Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization to provide guidance and recommendations based on tax research and analysis.

  • Manage and oversee tax audits, requests and queries by tax authorities. Coordinate responses to inquiries and provide documentation as needed.

  • Build and maintain relationships with external tax agents, auditors, and government authorities as necessary.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, with 3 - 5 years of relevant tax experience, ideally with Big 4 tax advisory and commercial tax experience.

    • Advisory and compliance experience across Direct tax, Indirect tax, International Tax and Transfer Pricing experience.

    • Extensive experience in tax management, preferably in a APAC setting.

    • Strong knowledge of local and cross-border tax laws and regulations in relevant jurisdictions.

    • Strong sense of responsibilities, a detail-minded person with excellent communication and analytical skills, and willing to do hands-on works.

    • Able to work independently and liaison with requisite government departments and external auditors.

    • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Mandarin (to liaise and handle queries and feedback from Mandarin speaking associates).
