Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Regional Tax Manager in Singapore to oversee tax compliance and tax-related matters across multiple jurisdictions. The role will be responsible for coordinating with local tax agents in offshore and regional markets, managing tax filings, and maintaining compliance with various tax and social contribution regulations. This role will work closely with senior leadership to support regional tax planning, compliance, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring timely and accurate tax filings.
- Coordinate with local tax agents and external advisors in offshore and regional locations to handle tax submissions and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with corporate tax, withholding tax, and social contribution obligations across different countries.
- Monitor changes in regional tax regulations and assess their potential impact on the business.
- Work closely with finance, payroll, and external advisors to ensure proper tax reporting and documentation.
- Provide guidance to management on tax risks, tax matters, and operational tax considerations.
- Support internal stakeholders with tax-related queries, including cross-border transaction considerations.
- Collaborate with senior management on tax planning and the development of regional tax strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in tax, preferably with multi-country exposure.
- Strong knowledge of cross-border tax compliance and multi-jurisdiction tax regulations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and international environment.
- Comfortable in using chinese and english as daily working language to work with chinese-Speaking stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services, fintech, or multinational companies.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or Chartered Tax Advisor are preferred.
- Prior experience managing regional tax matters across jurisdictions such as Singapore, the UK, Mauritius, Australia, etc. is an advantage.
