We are seeking a Regional Strategic Manager with a strong background in the institutional investment sector to lead our strategic initiatives for financial services clients. The key objective of this role is to help align our IT service offerings with the complex operational and investment needs of fund management firms, private credit arms, and global investment houses. The ideal candidate will leverage deep domain expertise in private credit, special situations, and distressed assets to drive our company's long-term business strategy and technological roadmap.
Job Description
Vertical Strategy Development: Lead the development and execution of the company's long-term business strategy focusing on the financial services sector, specifically for private equity and credit fund clients.
Market & Client Intelligence: Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of the financial software market, focusing on how AI and data tools can solve pain points in direct lending, opportunistic credit, and portfolio management.
High-Level Stakeholder Management: Prepare clear and compelling strategic reports and presentations for senior management, detailing actionable insights derived from both internal and external financial data
Cross-Functional Product Alignment: Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure our services-such as risk management and reporting tools-are aligned with the operational goals of institutional investors
Regional Growth Expansion: Identify, evaluate and execute strategic initiatives in APAC, especially Greater China, Japan, and Korea, leveraging a deep understanding of these markets to expand our service footprint.
Job Requirements
Education: A degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field (B.A. or Master's preferred)
Professional
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in high-stakes analytical roles within premier investment firms. Proven track record in investment-related activities, and deep understanding of the industry.
Technical & Analytical Skill: Advanced proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools, including R, STATA, and Microsoft Excel. Expertise in financial research platforms such as Bloomberg and Capital IQ. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex financial information into IT strategy.
Language & Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required. Proficiency in Cantonese, Japanese, Korean or Mandarin would be an advantage.
