Our Client

Our Client a well-established international hospitality organization that is undergoing significant growth across Southeast Asia. With recent market entries and further expansion planned in multiple countries over the next few years, this role offers the chance to lead HR initiatives supporting new developments and ongoing operations across the region.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the HR Director, you will be responsible for leading regional HR operations and strategy across Southeast Asia. You will support the pre-opening and operational phases of establishments in Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Thailand. Your role will involve developing and implementing recruitment, onboarding, training, and talent development programs tailored specifically to the hospitality industry and the unique needs of each local market. You will ensure compliance with local labour laws and HR best practices across all countries of operation. Additionally, you will provide expert advice and support to hotel management teams and local leadership on employee relations, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives. You will also be responsible for building scalable HR processes that can support rapid expansion while maintaining consistency with the company&aposs culture and values. This position requires approximately 50% travel within Southeast Asia to provide on-ground HR leadership and support.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor&aposs degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. You should have between 8 to 12 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the hospitality industry. Proven experience managing HR operations across multiple countries and involvement in hotel pre-opening projects are essential.

Fluency in both Mandarin and English is mandatory for this role, as effective communication with regional and corporate teams is critical. You must have a strong understanding of labour laws and cultural differences across Southeast Asian markets. The ability to work cross-culturally and adapt to fast-paced environments is vital. Willingness and ability to travel frequently within Southeast Asia (approximately 50% of the time) are also required.
