Job Description

Theregional sales specialistreports to Head of Sales, SEA, to be responsible for all aspects of the sales and marketing activities for IQS product portfolio in Singapore, and Batam, Indonesia (70% scope of work). The sales engineer is responsible for the sales targets assigned for his/her territory, handles technical and sales inquiries and to expand sales funnel in the assigned territory. The sales engineer is expected to identify and develop new customers for both conventional and newly identified focused customer segments.

The sales engineer is expected to create market awareness for ZEISS IQS product portfolio and to grow market share of ZEISS in Singapore, and Batam, Indonesia.
He/she needs to work closely with business partners/dealers to conduct market research/mapping hence provide adequate market coverage in the assigned territory.

The sales engineer will also dotted-line report to Regional Product Sales Manager (HandsOnMetrology) and to be responsible for all aspects of the sales and marketing activities for Optical System product portfolio (GOM & HOMbusiness) in Singapore Malaysia, and Batam, Indonesia.
He/She is expected to identify and develop new customers and to create market awareness for ZEISS IQS Optical System product portfolio and to grow market share for the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for all aspects of the sales activities for IQS product portfolio in Singapore, and Batam, Indonesia including but not limited to: IG (information gathering) & IS (information sharing) sessions with customers machine and software demonstration creating and handling technical and commercial proposals and discussions with customers.
  • To keep track and follow up closely on leads and sales opportunities in the salesfunnel and to provide sales forecast, market intelligence and competitioninformation during sales meeting/reporting.
  • To meet the territory sales goals and objectives, to achieve and exceed sales target in all profit centers & territory assigned and to ensure profitability and product sales margin within the given territory.
  • To visit existing and prospective customers regularly, to have a good knowledge of the IQS product portfolio as well as competitions products and market trend.
  • To arrange, support and participate various marketing initiatives in southern Malaysia, including but not limited to exhibitions & trade shows seminars workshops webinar ZEISS user meeting.
  • To create market awareness for ZEISS IQS product portfolio and to grow marketshare of ZEISS in the assigned territory.
  • To maintain focus customer accounts with regular ADP (account development plan) toincrease share of wallet through cross-selling.


Key Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering), Business or related fields
- 3 years working experience in field sales, inside sales, business development or project management role
- 5 years working experience in industrial machinery selling company, including but not limited to production
machines
- Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Independent & able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively across departments
- Able to travel within SEA region and possess own transport

- 2 year contract with 3rd party vendor
