Regional Sales Manager, Asia Pacific

Overview

We are seeking a commercially driven and strategic Area Manager to lead marketing and sales initiatives across the Asia Pacific region. This role is responsible for defining regional product strategy, driving execution excellence, and partnering closely with local distributors and sales teams to achieve sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Marketing Leadership

  • Define product strategy based on comprehensive market research, competitive analysis, and commercial insights.
  • Develop and own the annual strategic marketing plan, including situation analysis, SWOT, segmentation, targeting, positioning, and marketing mix.
  • Translate strategy into clear operational plans, including launch roadmaps and measurable KPIs.
  • Drive execution against agreed commercial targets such as revenue growth, market share, and profitability.
  • Develop a clear product playbook for regional partners and local sales teams to ensure consistent implementation.

2. Sales & Channel Support

  • Partner closely with regional distributors and local sales teams to achieve revenue targets.
  • Design and deliver product training programs to strengthen field effectiveness.
  • Develop impactful brand campaigns and promotional materials aligned with positioning and competitive strategy.
  • Conduct regular field visits to assess market dynamics, gather insights, and refine commercial strategies.
  • Set clear performance expectations and monitor partner and sales team execution.

3. KOL & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and industry stakeholders.
  • Provide scientific and product-related information to support brand credibility and advocacy.
  • Support the development of KOL engagement platforms such as advisory boards, speaker programs, symposia, CME activities, and site visits.

4. Performance & Budget Management

  • Track monthly performance versus budget and identify root causes of performance gaps.
  • Provide regular performance analysis and commercial reporting.
  • Manage and monitor the regional A&P budget to ensure optimal ROI.

5. Regional Brand Champion

  • Ensure alignment between regional marketing strategies and global brand direction.
  • Support cross-market initiatives with regional impact.
  • Provide marketing and training support to other product teams where required.
  • Share regional best practices and insights to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related discipline; additional qualification in business or marketing is advantageous.
  • Minimum 3 years of Product Management or Marketing experience, preferably within pharmaceutical or healthcare industries.
  • Experience working with distributors or managing multi-country channels is preferred.
  • Strong analytical capability with strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Results-driven with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and hands-on with the ability to operate independently across markets.
