Regional Privacy Counsel, Payments

Our client, a prominent payments firm, is looking for a Regional Privacy Counsel to join the team. This role is responsible for shaping and implementing data protection strategies across APAC while partnering closely with stakeholders across the organisation.

In this role, you will work closely with Product and Tech stakeholders for product launches and oversee privacy compliance programs for regulated entities, ensuring regulatory standards are met. You will also be involved in and support stakeholders for matters pertaining to data processing and cross-border agreements.

The ideal candidate is a qualified lawyer with 6-8 years experience in data privacy and data protection. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, along with the ability to deliver clear, actionable advice in high-pressure environments. Prior experience in Payments, Fintech, Tech, AI or SaaS would be a prerequisite.
