Reporting to: Functionally to the Group Supply Chain Manager and hierarchically to the Finance & Operations Director APAC
Job Responsibilities
Lead the Operations team across the region by providing leadership, driving change and launching and implementing new initiatives. More specifically, this includes:
Supply Chain/ Logistics:
- Ensuring most cost effective 3PL / warehousing setup in cooperation with local teams whilst maintaining high levels of performance and compliance.
- Drive connectivity (EDI) initiatives in cooperation with 3PL / third parties and local teams.
- Lead the operations team by aligning on clear expectations and targets and related execution. Provide support if and when needed.
- Push major new / change developments and lead the related project team (e.g., warehouse consolidation projects).
- Participate in significant contract negotiations with 3PLs / third parties. Agree on clear KPIs and ensure these are monitored regularly.
- Standardize and unify supply chain processes and ways of working across the region.
- Effectively communicate and cooperate with global counterparts on various topics, keeping them informed on key developments.
- Drive implementation of new SCM functionalities and projects initiated by Group Supply Chain and/or other relevant global departments.
- Roll-out, monitor and ensure compliance to the SCM Policy.
- Create insight in operational costs understand the drivers and act / steer them towards the most optimal levels.
HSEQR:
- Provide direction to Business Group and country teams in the onboarding of acquisitions and new businesses, or new territories.
- Engage with regional HSEQR function to ensure compliance to quality and regulatory matters in the supply chain.
Operational Excellence:
- Drive operational excellence initiatives across the region in cooperation with both local and global counterparts.
- Effectively develop, monitor and review operational KPIs and drive further related (process) improvements and adoption of best practices.
- Actively monitor inventory levels and related KPIs, driving towards the most optimal inventory levels on a country-by-country basis.
- Identify and develop relevant KPIs and best practices related to demand planning and inventory optimization.
- Any other related tasks as assigned.
Expected Qualification/Education:
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or a Business degree with relevant experience in an operational role preferably in the Life Sciences or Industrial business.
Work Experience:
Ideally 7-10 years of work experience in Supply Chain Management or Operational roles with increasing responsibility in a reputed Life Sciences or Industrial Chemicals business.
