We are presenting a life science European company to appoint a regional marketing director to develop and implement a robust JAPAC marketing strategy and initiatives tailored for Japan, China, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, and Pacific regions. The selected candidate will manage marketing team and report to VP of JAPAC.
Main responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the VP and country leaders to define team roles clearly, and standardize marketing operations to enhance consistency in regional execution.
- Guide the team in executing product launches aligned with global frameworks, adapting messaging and tactics to local clinical practices, regulations, and customer needs.

- Oversee the planning and execution of high-impact regional campaigns, including congress participation, key opinion leader (KOL) engagement, events, and digital initiatives, in close partnership with Global Marketing and MarCom.
- Serve as the key strategic marketing partner to the regional sales organization, ensuring tight alignment on commercial targets, account strategies, and go-to-market plans.
- Ensure the marketing team develops and delivers effective, locally adapted sales enablement tools, presentations, and training materials for both direct sales teams and distributor partner
- Responsible for continuously gathering, analyze, and share customer insights and regional market feedback to inform product development, global campaign optimization, and market prioritization.
- Track competitor activity, market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities.
Qualification:
- Proven track record in multi-country marketing leadership across the Asia-Pacific
- Expertise in marketing life science/ pharma/ medical devices or diagnostics, complemented by excellent skills in commercial strategy and scientific communication.
- Relevant experience in supporting both direct and indirect sales models, seamlessly aligning regional marketing efforts with sales teams, distributors, and healthcare clinics.
- A demonstrated capability to drive market growth in competitive landscapes
- High cultural intelligence, ensuring effective leadership across Japan, China, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, and Pacific markets.
- An entrepreneurial spirit paired with resilience and energy, leading within a dynamic mid-size organization.
- Willingness to travel regionally
