Regional Legal Counsel

As Regional Legal Counsel, you will be a trusted business partner providing practical corporate and commercial legal advice across the Group. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, regional teams and hotel General Managers on a broad range of legal matters.

As a Regional Legal Counsel, We Rely on You To

General Corporate (HQ and Regional)

• Provide legal advice and support to the Group's Singapore regional office functions, including Finance, HR, Marketing, Investment and Asset Management, and Hotel Operations
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial and intra-group agreements to support regional corporate and business initiatives
• Advise on corporate structure and governance matters relating to the Group's Southeast Asia and Australasia regional subsidiaries and joint ventures
• Provide legal support for the Group's business footprint in Southeast Asia and Australasia, including liaising and coordinating with external legal counsel as required
• Advise on employment-related decisions and agreements for the Singapore regional office
• Support the Group's HQ functions on specific projects or tasks assigned by the General Counsel, including loyalty programs and e-commerce initiatives

Hotel Operations Support (Regional)

• Provide legal advice and support to hotel General Managers, including drafting and reviewing commercial agreements to facilitate hotels business initiatives
• Provide first-line legal advice and support on disputes and claims arising from hotel operations, escalating and coordinating with external counsel or insurers as required

We Are Looking for Someone With

• A qualification to practice law in Singapore, with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience
• A mix of law firm and in-house experience, preferably with a solid background in corporate and commercial work. Lawyers transitioning from private practice to an in-house environment are welcome to apply
• Prior experience in hospitality, real estate or a multinational corporate environment would be advantageous, though not essential
• Good analytical skills and commercial judgement, with strong experience handling legal matters independently and with limited supervision
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging senior management, external counsel, hotel General Managers and regional teams in clear, practical terms
• A responsible, efficient, self-motivated, independent, meticulous and organized approach.
