The Regional IT Infrastructure Lead (APAC) is responsible for designing, operating, and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure and networks across the Asia-Pacific region. This is a hands-on senior role requiring strong experience in virtualisation, cloud platforms, and enterprise networking, combined with the ability to coordinate regional IT operations and work closely with global teams.
The role is not end-user helpdesk focused. It is intended for candidates with solid infrastructure fundamentals, capable of mid-level solution design, operational troubleshooting, and regional coordination.
Role based at Alexandra.
Key Responsibilities
A. Infrastructure & Virtualisation
. Design, deploy, and support virtualised environments using VMware, Azure, and/or AWS.
. Support hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premises and cloud platforms.
. Participate in infrastructure refresh, migration, and optimisation initiatives.
. Ensure availability, performance, and recoverability of regional infrastructure.
B. Network Design & Connectivity
. Design and support enterprise network connectivity, from SD-WAN / WAN to core, distribution, and end-user access switching.
. Apply network segmentation principles for security and operational resilience.
. Troubleshoot complex network issues and work with vendors and carriers where required.
. Support and understand enterprise voice platforms, including Cisco CUCM (integration, dependencies, network considerations).
C. Regional IT Operations
. Act as the regionalinfrastructure focal point for APAC offices.
. Coordinate IT operations,changes, and incidents across multiple countries.
. Work closely with Global IT and local IT teams to implement regional and global initiatives.
. Provide escalation support and technical guidance to local IT resources.
D. Security, Resilience & Governance (Operational)
. Ensure infrastructure and network designs align with corporate security standards.
. Support patching, endpoint protection, access control, and vulnerability remediation from aninfrastructure perspective.
. Participate in BCP / DR planning and testing for regional systems.
. Maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and SOPs.
E. Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
. Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for infrastructure and network services.
. Support vendor evaluations, technical discussions, and implementation activities.
. Communicate effectively with regional stakeholders and non-technical users when required.
Qualifications and Skills
. 8+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and/or network engineering.
. Strong practical experience with virtualisation platforms (VMware mandatory Azure/AWS highly preferred).
. Solid understanding of enterprise networking, including:
. SD-WAN / WAN
. LAN switching
. Network segmentation
. Firewall and routing concepts
. Experience working in corporate, regional, or multi-country environments.
. Good working knowledge of Cisco CUCM and enterprise voice network dependencies.
. Ability to perform mid-levelinfrastructure and network design, not just operations.
. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
. Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
