The Fraud Risk Management team safeguards our users and business by identifying emerging fraud risks and developing data-driven strategies to mitigate them.
This role will be based in Singapore and support regional fraud risk management, with a focus on fraud typologies including scams, reverse scams and money mule activity, account takeover (ATO), and card fraud.

Job Description
- Analyse large-scale transactional and behavioural datasets using SQL to identify fraud patterns, anomalies, and emerging risk trends.
- Conduct deep-dive investigations and root-cause analysis on fraud losses and fund flows to identify vulnerabilities and control gaps.
- Develop, backtest, and implement real-time fraud detection rules and risk strategies within decision engines.
- Monitor and optimise rule performance using metrics such as precision, recall, false-positive rates, and fraud losses.
- Tune risk thresholds and strategies to effectively mitigate fraud while maintaining a smooth user experience and conversion.
- Maintain dashboards and reporting to track key fraud metrics, including fraud losses, mule activity, emerging trends, and rule hit rates.
- Partner with regional stakeholders to understand market developments and continuously improve fraud risk controls.
- Support stakeholder alignment and market understanding through occasional business travel within the region when required.
- Bachelors in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Financial Engineering or related fields.
- Relevant academic, internship, project, or professional experience in Fraud Analytics, Risk Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Prior experience within fintech, payments, digital banking, e-commerce, or other relevant technology-driven industries is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, with the ability to query and analyse complex, large-scale datasets.
- Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex behavioural patterns and trace fraudulent fund flows.
- The role requires occasional business travel.
