Position Overview

We are seeking a Regional Finance Manager, Asia Pacific to work closely with the Head of APAC Sales, and regional leadership team to drive financial planning, business performance, and operational decision-making across the organization. Reporting to the Group CFO, this role will focus primarily on FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic business partnering. The position will also support financial reporting, internal controls, corporate governance and board matters, company secretarial coordination, as well as general administration and operational support, while coordinating with external service providers on accounting, payroll, tax, and statutory compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Establish strategic and annual financial objectives aligned with the company's growth and expansion plans in APAC.
  • Lead FP&A activities, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
  • Partner with Commercial teams and other functions to develop annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term strategic plans.
  • Prepare and present detailed monthly and quarterly management reports, including variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year performance.
  • Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) such as customer profitability, product line performance, sales effectiveness, and market trends.

2. Business Partnering & Decision Support

  • Act as the primary finance business partner for functions including Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Commercial Operations , Quality and Regulatory Affairs.
  • Provide financial modelling and analysis to evaluate new business opportunities, pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and investment proposals.
  • Support evaluation of business cases related to new products, market expansion, and capital expenditure initiatives.

3. Accounting & Daily Financial Management

  • Oversee all accounting processes and financial management activities for APAC.
  • Take full ownership of monthly financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Responsible for coordinating internal and external audit activities, and ensuring accurate and timely tax filings in compliance with local regulations.
  • Monitor backend operational processes, including orders, payments, expense control, warehousing, and shipping activities.

4. Corporate Governance, Company Secretarial & Administration

  • Support corporate governance and board-related activities, including board meeting coordination, preparation of materials, maintenance of corporate records, and follow-up on action items.
  • Coordinate with external company secretarial, legal, tax, and compliance service providers to ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Support statutory filings, corporate documentation, business licenses, and other regulatory or governance-related administrative matters.
  • Oversee general affairs and office administration to support smooth operations in APAC.
  • Support local operational setup and coordination activities, including liaison with external vendors and service providers where required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • CPA or Certified Tax Professional qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in financial management roles within trading companies or multinational corporations in the medical device industry, including at least 3 years of experience in commercial finance business partnering.
  • Strong understanding of trading company operations, including ERP systems, order management, payments, warehousing, and shipping processes; experience in start-up environments is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with international accounting standards and financial management systems, with solid experience in financial analysis, cash flow management, and risk control.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency in business English, both written and verbal.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
