Our client is hiring a (Japanese speaking) Regional Finance Manager (Consolidation) overseeing consolidation, treasury, and Japan HQ reporting.

We are seeking a highly experienced Finance Manager to lead the Group's finance function across regional entities. This role is responsible for supporting financial consolidation, treasury management, and tax compliance, ensuring strong governance and adherence to both local regulatory requirements and Head Office policies.

Working closely with the Division Manager and Tokyo Head Office, the Finance Manager will drive accurate and timely financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and support strategic decision-making. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance financial discipline, operational efficiency, and compliance standards across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation and review of regional financial statements covering subsidiaries.

• Ensure all reports comply with IFRS/GAAP, local statutory requirements across region and support Head Office reporting policies. (Aligned with Japan GAAP).

• Work closely to enhance liquidity management, centralize cash positions, and improve capital efficiency.

• Oversee intercompany funding activities and maintain proper documentation in compliance with tax and transfer pricing guidelines.

• Monitor financial performance indicators and escalate key issues promptly.

• Identify gaps and implement enhancements to streamline finance operations, treasury processes, and reporting workflows.

• Support implementation in best practices across the Group and ensure the Finance Team consistently achieves high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

• Identify tax risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure audit readiness and tax optimization.

• Align local tax practices with Group policies and global tax strategies.

• Support monthly monitoring discussion and provide financial insight for subsidiaries

Job Requirements:

• CPA qualified (strongly) with minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience.

• Demonstrated proficiency in multi-entity regional /group financial report.

• Experience liaising with international banks and working with treasury platforms.

• High level of integrity and professionalism, with strong attention to detail and project management skills.

• Familiarity with systems such as SAP / SAC or comparable ERP platforms

• Japanese language skills is required to liaise with Japanese speaking counterparts in Japan HQ
