Our client is a global leader in high-performance and advanced fluid technology solutions. With Singapore serving as their APAC regional hub, the business continues to expand and strengthen its operational footprint. They are now seeking a Regional Finance Controller to lead finance governance, consolidation, statutory compliance, and performance management across APAC entities.
Key Responsibilities
Consolidation & Performance Management
- Lead APAC consolidated financial statements and reporting across Actuals, Budget, Forecast, and Multi-Year Plans.
- Enhance close cadence, reporting accuracy, and presentation quality.
- Deliver analytical insights on efficiency, cost management, gross margin, and EBIT performance.
- Drive Sales & Gross Margin variance analysis and prepare CFO/Leadership review materials.
- Manage Balanced Scorecard and SG&A efficiency metrics support monthly business performance routines.
Financial Governance, Internal Controls & Audit
- Oversee internal financial reviews and entity-level control compliance recommend and track improvements.
- Lead audit readiness (statutory and group), consolidation documentation, and timely closure of audit actions.
- Coordinate inventory/stock-take controls and ensure adherence to relevant accounting frameworks (IFRS/GAAP).
Statutory, Tax & Treasury Coordination
- Support regional cash flow management, AR collections, intercompany processes, FX exposure monitoring, and credit governance.
- Partner with country finance teams and external providers to ensure timely statutory accounting/tax filings.
- Oversee Group Transfer Pricing policy and documentation with support from external tax advisors.
Finance Transformation & Systems
- Contribute to pricing governance and price matrix follow-up.
- Act as regional finance SME for SAP initiatives, including ECC-to-S/4HANA conversion.
- Drive process simplification, control reinforcement (SAP GRC), and reporting automation.
Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead and develop the regional finance team (Consolidation, Business Analysis, Corporate Accounting).
- Build capabilities in financial analysis, systems proficiency, and stakeholder management.
Key Requirements
- 8-10 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 3 years in regional/business controlling or consolidation within a multinational environment.
- Proven experience in manufacturing, trading, or FMCG industries is essential for success in this role, with prior Big 4 experience considered a strong advantage.
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA/CA/ACCA) or degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Strong technical grounding in IFRS/GAAP and consolidation principles.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills proactive and hands-on leadership style.
- Proficiency in SAP exposure to S/4HANA, finance architecture, governance, or BI tools is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across cultures.
- Fluent in English an additional language is a plus.
