Highlights of What You'll Do

Reporting to the Group Controller, you will oversee all financial management, accounting, and administrative operations across the Asia-Pacific region. A typical day will involve:

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Prepare and consolidate statements to summarize and forecast the organization's financial status
  • Manage all aspects of accounting, auditing, budgeting, and the general ledger
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and year-end analyses; prepare ad hoc financial reports as needed
  • Produce and manage balance sheets, analysing future earnings and expenses
  • Maintain accurate account reconciliations and ensure completeness of financial records
  • Oversee client-facing reporting, including regional client sales reconciliations
  • Establish timely reports on financial data analytics, including key metrics, cost variances, and cash flow forecasting
  • Prepare and present KPIs and regular reports to the President, CEO, Group Controller, and other senior management
  • Assist in general financial management and analysis to support business strategy

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Coordinate or assist with the budget process for the region
  • Support preparation of IFRS financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting; research accounting issues to ensure compliance with IFRS
  • Analyze actual spend against budgets and outlook, providing actionable insights

Controls, Compliance, and Process Improvement

  • Draw up procedures, policies, and technical accounting analyses; establish and maintain internal controls across jurisdictions in the APAC region
  • Maintain implementation and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures
  • Support the accounting team during the closing process, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Distinguish and evolve process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency
  • Serve as a liaison to external auditors and partners, coordinating fiscal year-end audits

Administrative Management

  • Oversee administrative functions such as office operations, procurement, and vendor management
  • Ensure effective support services to all regional teams
  • Manage contracts, leases, and insurance to ensure business continuity and cost efficiency
  • Support global and regional HR projects; responsible for the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, compensation and benefits, performance management, payroll, and other HR activities as required

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Supervise general accounting transactions
  • Support accountability and the meeting of deliverables across the regional Finance team and financial activities throughout all divisions
  • Collaborate with the broader global Finance team
  • Ensure the regional Finance team is competent, trained, and developed through regular assessment, goal setting, and coaching

What You'll Bring Along

Must-Haves:

  • At least 6 years of progressive experience in financial management or regional finance operations, ideally in a multinational environment
  • Degree in finance, business administration, or a related field
  • Advanced general ledger accounting experience
  • Exceptional quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities
  • Strong understanding of IFRS, ASPE, and regional statutory requirements
  • Proven experience managing cross-border teams, multi-entity consolidations, and audit processes
  • Mathematical, budgeting, and financial reporting background
  • Proficiency with accounting software systems, ERPs, and advanced Excel/financial modelling skills
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to build trust and influence across teams
  • Ability to build relationships with both external partners and peers
  • Ability to communicate confidently and professionally in person, virtually, and in writing
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese

  • CA Singapore designation is a strong asset
  • Experience with Sage Intacct is an asset
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is an asset
  • Experience implementing a transfer policy and a hedging policy is an asset
  • Knowledge of import taxes and duties is an asset
  • Experience with a start-up is an asset

What We'll Give You

Salary:

  • S$102,000-132,000 per year commensurate with experience
