The Regional Director has overall responsibility for the domestic market sales, marketing, promotional operation, and overall growth and development of the portfolio of brands in the Asia-Pacific region. The Regional Director's main missions are:
- Define and implement with distributors a strategy for each brand in their respective country to achieve sales growth targets: distribution, media/marketing activities, training, CAPEX, etc. Regularly visit markets (up to 40% of the time) for distribution assessment and business reviews.
- Reporting to the APAC CEO on a regular basis, providing ongoing information on business activities, sales, growth, development, potential threats, opportunities, and recommended actions.
- Oversee the budget exercise (purchase targets, spendings, A&P) and its revisions. Report monthly to Paris HQ the APAC results (purchase, sell-in, sell-out).
- Ensure effective cross-functional interactions with APAC teams to achieve sales target: VM team, training team, marketing team.
- Be the APAC spokesperson for each brand at Paris HQ level: push for APAC needs and convey the HQ strategy to APAC markets.
- Define and implement pricing strategy for the region.
- Be a key actor of the APAC team: support the organization of regional conferences, internal team meetings, internal business reviews, etc.
Key requirements:
- Ability to define and execute regional strategies per brand and country
- Strong understanding of Distribution channels, Marketing & media planning and Pricing strategy
- Proven track record of driving sales growth
- Deep knowledge of APAC markets and consumer behavior
- Experience working with local distributors and partners
- Willingness to travel frequently
- Ability to assess market performance on the ground
- Strong skills in Distributor relationship management, negotiation and influencing
- Proficiency in French would be an added advantage given the frequent interaction with HQ in France
