Regional Clinical Operations Director

I am currently looking for a Regional Clinical Operations Director APAC for one of my Global Life-Sciences client. This is a position which is based in Singapore and cover multiple countries within APAC.

Position Summary

As a key member of the Regional Leadership Team in JAPAC, this position will be responsible for developing and implementing the relevant operations strategies across JAPAC. As this position will be managing all the teams in Clinical R&D in JAPAC, he/ she is required a proven ability to drive change in challenging environments and to cultivate a confident, capable, and high-performing workforce.

Job Scope

• Provide overall oversight and management of all laboratory support activities, ensuring consistency and efficiency across functional areas.
• Ensure adequate resourcing, including personnel, equipment, and infrastructure, to meet quality standards, client deadlines and production timelines.
• Guide ongoing training, career development and Management processes within the department or function.
• Provide leadership in developing site operating budgets and contribute to capital budget planning to safeguard operational excellence in service delivery.
• Facilitate and support client visits, audits, and inquiries, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution.
• Partner with the Global VP of Operations to develop and manage the global R&D and laboratory network, ensuring operational excellence in testing services.
• Strengthen client satisfaction by maintaining proactive and transparent communication.
• Build collaborative relationships between laboratory operations and other functional areas to enhance service delivery.
• Ensure full compliance with global regulatory standards across all laboratory activities.
• Champion a culture of performance management, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• M.D., PharmD, or Ph.D. in Clinical Pathology, Microbiology, Lab Medicine or/ and Transfusion Medicine
• Extensive leadership experience in a clinical environment in Europe, Asia or/ and the States.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to partner closely with clients and translate technology into business impact.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and networking skills, with strong organizational ability and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a matrix organization, influencing and building relationships across functions.
