What You'll Do
Members of the Audit Team are granted the qualification of Auditor in accordance with LG Electronics internal audit regulations and perform the following duties:
- Inspect compliance with company policies, guidelines, regulations, and directives
- Analyze inefficiencies in business processes and propose improvement measures
- Review the fairness and accuracy of management reports and financial statements
- Evaluate the appropriateness and efficiency of asset management, system operations, and overall business conditions
- Assess the adequacy of organizational and internal control functions
- Conduct risk prevention activities such as management ethics training and promoting adherence to ethical standards
- Investigate and prevent occurrences of fraud, falsehoods, errors, or negligence
What You Must Have
The basic competencies required of auditors are as follows:
- Experience: At least 3 years of practical experience in internal audit, risk management, finance/accounting, or related fields
- Objectivity: Ability to verify facts independently and objectively without bias
- Integrity: Commitment to reporting findings truthfully without distortion or concealment
- Compliance: Strict adherence to laws and internal regulations while maintaining professional dignity as an auditor
- Expertise: Ability to identify the essence of problems and propose alternatives through continuous learning and critical thinking
- Confidentiality: Thorough protection of personal information and company secrets obtained during audits
- Performance Orientation: Contribution to company performance improvement through identifying and monitoring corrective actions

Recently, internal auditing has evolved from a simple detective-type audit into a business partner-type consulting audit that supports company growth. The competency requirements below are examples, and applications are encouraged even if some qualifications are not fully met.

- Communication and Negotiation Skills: Auditing requires collaboration with diverse stakeholders, making effective communication as important as technical knowledge. Auditors must be able to minimize friction with audited departments, extract necessary information, and persuasively deliver recommendations for improvement. Fluency in both Korean and English is required for smooth communication with local staff and headquarters.
- Data Analysis and IT Proficiency: Ability to use Excel and understand ERP systems is necessary for data-driven audits. Proficiency in PowerPoint is also required for preparing audit reports and presentations.
- Comprehensive Business Understanding: Experience across the core value chain of sales subsidiaries (marketing, sales, service, procurement, logistics) and support functions (planning/strategy, finance/accounting, legal/compliance, IT, HR) is preferred. Business-related majors are favored, but applicants from humanities, natural sciences, or engineering backgrounds are also welcome.
