Retail Area Manager

Role Purpose
The Retail Area Manager is responsible for overseeing the performance, operations, and sales growth of all assigned FiftyFreed retail outlets. This role ensures consistent brand standards, strong retail sales, excellent customer experience, and efficient team management across locations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Retail Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Drive outlet retail sales targets and overall revenue performance.

  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales KPIs across assigned outlets.

  • Identify opportunities to increase average basket size, upsell, and cross-sell retail products.

  • Execute retail campaigns, promotions, and product launches effectively.

  • Analyse sales reports and recommend strategies to improve performance.

2. Outlet Operations Management

  • Ensure all outlets comply with operational SOPs, visual merchandising, and brand standards.

  • Conduct regular outlet visits and operational audits.

  • Ensure stock availability, proper inventory control, and minimisation of shrinkage.

  • Oversee retail display, tester management, and hygiene standards.

3. Team Leadership & Staff Performance

  • Manage, coach, and motivate Outlet Managers, Senior Therapists, and Retail Staff.

  • Set clear performance targets and track staff productivity.

  • Identify training needs and work with HR/Training to improve retail selling skills.

  • Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and staff retention.

4. Customer Experience & Service Excellence

  • Ensure consistent, high-quality customer service across all locations.

  • Handle escalated customer issues or complaints professionally.

  • Implement loyalty, membership, and customer retention strategies.

5. Inventory & Product Management

  • Monitor stock levels, replenishment, and product movement across outlets.

  • Work with procurement to forecast demand based on sales trends.

  • Manage slow-moving or aging stock through promotions.

6. Reporting & Business Strategy

  • Prepare weekly/monthly performance reports for management.

  • Provide insights on retail trends, customer behaviour, and competitor activity.

  • Recommend operational or sales improvements based on data.

7. Marketing & Campaign Execution

  • Ensure outlets execute marketing initiatives (launches, promotions, events).

  • Coordinate with the marketing team on retail visuals, POS materials, and in-store campaigns.
