Regional Accounting Manager

Newly Created Position as Regional Accounting Manager, with a Technology Start Up at an Aggressive Expansion Phase

Our client is a well-backed technology start-up pursuing rapid global expansion, built around a distinctive value proposition that addresses an area of strong vested interest and relevance across global markets.

In a newly created position as Regional Accounting Manager, the ideal candidate will lead the finance operations, planning, financial reporting, statutory, tax and audit compliance. You will own the full finance operations spectrum of activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable and expense management, managing invoicing, collections, customer billing and vendor payments; whilst ensuring accuracy, timeliness, cash discipline and appropriate controls. Driving continuous improvement, documentation and scalability of finance processes will also be required.

Broader responsibilities include supporting annual budgeting and rolling forecasts, partnering with stakeholders to provide financial visibility, monitoring actuals against budget, proactively identify variances and delivering timely insights, as well as preparing monthly financial reports and concise management dashboards to support decision-making.

This role is ideal for a hands-on, adaptable finance professional who enjoys building structure from the ground up and taking ownership in a fast-moving startup environment. The selected candidate will be comfortable operating independently, switching between detail-oriented execution and big-picture thinking, and taking pride in creating order, clarity and scalability where processes are still evolving. You are innately proactive, organized and curious, with a strong sense of accountability and a practical mindset. You enjoy collaborating across teams, communicating clearly, and contributing beyond your core remit as the business grows.

Skills/Experience:

Relevant accounting / finance degree from a reputable university, and/or ACCA / CPA is highly desirable

Minimum of 6 - 10 years of progressive experience, preferably within Technology and/or Start up environments

Demonstrates digital acumen, driven strategic change and/or created finance operational improvements and structures

A builder's mindset - creating processes and not just following them

Entrepreneurial. Able to think on your feet, be a problem solver and possess grit. Challenge the founders towards the right decisions made

Comfortable with ambiguity and change, with the ability to prioritize and adapt quickly.

Advance analytical skills to effectively understand and monetize data for creation of new revenue streams and improving decision support capabilities.

Detail-oriented yet pragmatic, with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.

Effectively bilingual (English and Mandarin) with excellent verbal and written communication skills
