NCIS is seeking an Intern to support the NCIS Redevelopment team with planning, execution and monitoring of all NCIS Redevelopment projects.

Responsibilities

Design Phase Support

Assist in coordinating design team meetings and presentations

Help track design milestones of project from concept through construction documentation

Support the preparation of project schedules for design phases and approval processes

Assist with maintaining project filing systems

Help coordinate between various department stakeholders with NCIS and NUH.

Project Documentation

Assist in preparing project presentations and meeting minutes.

Help maintain project databases

Construction Administration Support

Assist with site coordination and documentation

Help track construction progress against project schedules

Support the management of contractor submissions and shop drawings

Assist with maintaining project correspondence and documentation

Help coordinate site meetings and inspections

Research and Analysis

Conduct research on building codes and planning requirements

Support feasibility studies and site analysis projects

Help gather information on relevant materials, products and new technology to adopt.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Architecture, Construction Management or related field

Strong interest in architectural design and construction processes

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Good communication skills and ability to work in team environments

Basic understanding of architectural drawings and construction documentation

Familiarity with architectural software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp)

Bonus Qualifications

Previous experience or coursework in project management

Prior experience or coursework with project management software (Microsoft Project)

Knowledge of building codes and construction processes

This internship provides valuable hands-on experience and exposure to various phases in architectural projects from feasibility studies, concept design and design development through construction in a dynamic healthcare setting. There is also an opportunity to gain valuable practical experience in architectural project management whilst contributing to meaningful projects that shape and improve patient care and experience.
