Role: Recoveries & Customer Care Specialist
Location: Singapore; you will need current Singapore work rights
Work arrangement: Full-time, office-based
Compensation: SGD 58,000 per year
You'll be joining a fast-growing international fintech that provides flexible funding solutions to SMEs across APAC and Europe. The business has already funded more than $5B in loans and continues to scale.
What You'll Do
- Handle customer enquiries across phone, email, and other channels, giving clear, timely service and following issues through to resolution.
- Manage inbound and outbound recoveries conversations on overdue and delinquent accounts to secure repayment commitments.
- Set up payment arrangements, explain obligations and next steps, and work through practical solutions including hardship options where appropriate.
- Use negotiation, complaints handling, and dispute resolution skills in conversations that can be sensitive, high-pressure, or complex.
- Keep records accurate across business systems, documenting customer interactions, commitments, and follow-up actions properly.
- Apply policy, procedure, and compliance requirements in day-to-day case handling while balancing customer outcomes with business needs.
Who We're Looking For
This role will suit you if you're already comfortable handling customer conversations that require empathy, firmness, sound judgement, and strong follow-through.
Must-Haves
- Fluent English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
- Hands-on experience in customer care and recoveries across phone and email channels.
- The ability to resolve enquiries, secure repayment commitments, set payment plans or hardship arrangements, and handle complaints or disputes professionally.
- Strong case administration skills, including accurate documentation and confident application of policy and process.
- Solid Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
Nice-To-Haves
- Experience in collections, recoveries, hardship, complaints, lending, credit, or another regulated service environment.
- Experience in a busy contact setting with regular inbound and outbound customer conversations.
- Experience working to service levels, operational deadlines, and accurate system update requirements.
- Comfort owning cases end to end as an individual contributor, making sound decisions within policy without close supervision.
