Job scope: SIW & SI SUPERVISOR
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the marine construction project till completion.
- Supervise the rock placing in marine construction.
- Supervise the sand filling in marine construction using marine barge / vessel.
- Coordinate and monitor the reclamation work in the project and at the supply source.
- Coordinate with the marine and land survey team.
- Coordinate and supervise the subcontractors and direct construction workers.
- Monitor, review and report the work progress to immediate superior daily.
- Monitor safety matters in accordance with Workplace Safety and Health regulations.
- Responsible to highlight QA / QC non conformances to Site Engineer
- Accountable for inventory management for materials/equipment delivered on site.
- Prepare and submit material approval request to consultants for approval
- Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by superior.
Requirements:
- Recognised Diploma in Civil Engineering or any equivalent discipline.
- Min 4 years experience in Marine Construction and Civil Engineering works (preferably in reclamation, bund construction or dredging projects).
- Good command of both written and spoken English
- Familiarity with marine traffic management, and offshore construction methodologies, and vessel works planning (e.g., anchoring, positioning).
- Fast learning and understanding the process of marine construction.
- Ability to give effective instructions to workers based on a good understanding of the site situation
- Ability to communicate and work with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
- Positively work with the management and operation team.
- Must be comfortable working on vessels for extended durations.
- Able to rotate between day shift and night shift as required.
- Able to work in Tuas
