About our client: Our client is a leading Construction and Civil Engineering company supporting the Oil & Gas and Chemical Processing Industry.
About the role:
- Perform monthly inspections of electrical installations and maintain logbooks in accordance with EMA and relevant regulations.
- Perform electrical isolations and restorations to enable safe work execution by other personnel.
- Supervise and approve electrical installation, maintenance, and rectification works conducted by contractors.
- Endorse switching schedules and supervise switching operations.
- Ensure all electrical works comply with SS638, EMA requirements, SCDF fire safety codes, and COMPANY's scope standards.
- Review and approve Single-Line Diagrams, Load Schedules, and PE submissions where applicable.
- Investigate electrical faults and support root cause identification and corrective action implementation.
- Liaise with authorities and support licensing, testing, and audit preparation for Bukom/Jurong Island electrical systems.
About you:
- Must be a licensed Electrical Worker (minimum LEW Grade 7).
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance, installation, and operations, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, or large industrial/corporate environments.
- Proven experience performing electrical isolations, restorations, and supervising contractor electrical works.
- Strong knowledge of SS638, EMA regulations, SCDF fire safety codes, and company electrical standards.
- Experience reviewing and approving Single-Line Diagrams, Load Schedules, and PE submissions.
- Ability to perform inspections, maintain accurate logbooks, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Experience in fault investigation, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
- Ability to liaise with authorities and support licensing, testing, and audit preparation.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with electrical maintenance software or CMMS is preferred.
- Must be able to work on-site for 6 days a week.
