Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise marine construction operations, such as Marine structure building.
- Coordinate barges, pontoons, cranes, workboats, and sea-based material delivery logistics.
- Compile and submit daily or weekly progress updates to the project manager and stakeholders, outlining achievements, issues, delays, and corrective actions.
- Lead site mobilization and marine setup works, including temporary access routes, work platforms, staging zones, slit curtains, and turbidity control systems.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, QA/QC requirements, environmental standards, and applicable marine regulations.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, marine personnel, and specialist vendors to ensure work sequencing, productivity, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Prepare and review technical submissions such as method statements, risk assessments, lifting plans, and marine coordination documentation for approval.
- Liase with consultants, regulatory authorities, and internal departments regarding permits, inspections, approvals, and technical clarifications.
- Promote and enforce Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) and environmental compliance, including monitoring tidal conditions, weather factors, and marine operational constraints.
- Work with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely mobilization of marine equipment, materials, and site consumables.
- Provide engineering support and assist with planning or ad-hoc technical tasks to ensure project milestones are achieved.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a Related Field.
- Experience in caisson works or marine heavy lifting operations
- Experience in construction planning and scheduling
- Strong experience in preparing Method Statements (M/S), ITPS, and other technical documents.
- Knowledgeable in marine plant and equipment operations, temporary works, and construction planning and execution.
- Experience in preparing construction plans using CAD drawings
- Strong experience in quantity calculations
- Minimum 5 years of relevant site experience
