Details of the Division and Team:

At the core of Deutsche Bank's Corporate Bank franchise is a strong client‑led approach to delivering differentiated financing solutions. In Singapore, the Trade Finance & International Lending Sales (TFIL) team plays a pivotal role in driving this strategy by originating, structuring, and closing complex trade finance and lending transactions for key corporate clients across Asia Pacific.

The TFIL team is a front‑office sales and origination team with end‑to‑end accountability for revenue generation. The team is responsible for deal origination, structuring, pricing, negotiation, and execution of bespoke Trade Finance and Lending solutions across all Trade product areas and asset classes. Working closely with Corporate Coverage, Product Management, Risk, Credit, and other control functions, the team converts client trade finance needs into actionable, executable transactions.

Growth Mandate and Role Focus

As part of its growth strategy, the TFIL team is expanding its Sales Team with a particular focus on ASEAN markets. The role is designed for a sales professional with a strong client mindset, who is motivated by originating new business, deepening client relationships, and closing transactions. With rising intra‑regional trade flows and increasingly sophisticated financing requirements among large corporates, the TFIL team is uniquely positioned to help clients access structured, balance‑sheet‑efficient financing solutions to support their operations and growth across APAC. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving new deal flow, converting pipeline into revenue, and expanding Deutsche Bank's share of wallet with strategic corporate clients.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for origination, structuring and execution of structured trade finance & lending transactions (including preparation of information memoranda, credit analysis, term sheets and financial models) for Large corporate /MNC clients in ASEAN
  • Expand Singapore as a hub for booking offshore transactions for clients in ASEAN countries
  • Responsible for driving TFIL revenues within Singapore and ASEAN markets
  • Responsible for the preparation, submission and presentation of credit proposals and perform credit risk analysis including working on financial models
  • End to end responsibility to structure and implement transactions with various teams including legal, finance and accounts, distribution, credit, etc.

Your skills and experience:

  • At least 8 - 10 years of relevant client facing & sales experience, handling MNC/ large local corporates for corporate bank & trade finance products
  • Previous experience of origination across Corporate Banking products, including Trade and FX with the ability to generate cross sell in Trade sales under Fx4Trade vertical.
  • Ability to generate sales leads from client discussions, structure solutions around client requirements and participate in senior level client discussions / solution pitch.
  • Experience in Structured Trade Finance solutions, around Documentary Trade, Working Capital and Lending Products
  • Strong credit & financial analysis skills including experience in credit analysis
  • Hands-on experience and ability to lead end-to-end deal process including due diligence (regulatory, compliance), credit proposals, term sheets, legal documentation and working with external counsels
