R&D Technician – New Product Scale-Up
PURPOSE
Support the development and scale-up of new laminate and prepreg materials by bridging laboratory work and pilot/production operations while ensuring safety, quality, and data accuracy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support resin formulation and processing at lab and pilot scale.
- Operate R&D and pilot equipment (treaters, mixers, presses) per SOPs and safety standards.
- Assist with pilot/production trials and technology transfer activities.
- Conduct basic material testing and collect, analyze, and document data.
- Maintain materials, equipment, and quality/EHS compliance.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience as an R&D, manufacturing, or process technician (laminates/composites preferred).
- Experience with treaters, presses, or coating equipment; resin or polymer processing knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to follow technical procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
- Proficient in basic data tools (Excel, Word); SAP experience preferred.
- Able to work safely in a lab/pilot environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
