Responsibilities
. Design and develop technical solutions for assigned projects within defined budgets and quality standards.
. Lead all stages of project management, including R&D, process engineering, scale-up to production, and regulatory compliance.
. Develop test plans, manage R&D timelines, and align with departmental objectives
. Independently plan and execute research projects, conduct / monitor experiments, and support laboratory operations.
. Coordinate trials, collect and analyse data, and document laboratory experiments per project schedules.
. Prepare professional technical reports and documentation for clients, subcontractors, and investors.
. Collaborate with subcontractors and third-party service providers for experimental activities.
. Identify and engage metallurgical laboratories and subcontractors to test metal formulation through master alloy preparation, melting, processing (casting, rolling, forming, coiling...), and full quality testing across different metal families.
. Build and maintain a library of molecules and additives and lead the execution of proof-of-concept (POC) pilots and live client demonstrations.
. Supervise assistant researchers, offering guidance and resources to ensure project success.
. Manage project-related administrative tasks including expense reporting, invoice approval, and data tracking.
. Field visits to monitor research project progress.
Requirements
. Master's degree in Metal Engineering or related field.
. Minimum 7 years of industrial R&D experience in metal/alloy development, refining, melting, casting, and related processes.
. Strong technical writing skills for drafting protocols, reports, and formal communication.
Additional Requirements:
. Willingness to work extra hours when necessary.
. Availability for occasional field visits abroad to client.
