R&D Executive (Bakery & Product Innovation)

Job Summary

This role operates as part of a centralised R&D and innovation hub supporting multiple brands and external business partners. The position plays a key role in driving product development, improvement, and innovation initiatives across the group, with a strong focus on bakery and related product categories.

The role supports business growth through new product development, cost optimisation, quality enhancement, and technical problem-solving, while working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external partners.

Our current office is located in Aljunied area.
Candidate should be willing to relocate to 14 Senoko Way(Near Woodlands/Sembawang) around March/April of 2026.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Improvement

  • Develop and improve bakery and related products with a focus on taste, texture, stability, shelf life, and cost efficiency.

  • Conduct formulation trials, product benchmarking, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support innovation and renovation projects aligned with business and market needs.

Ingredient & Supplier Evaluation

  • Test and evaluate new ingredients and raw materials from suppliers.

  • Assess alternative suppliers to improve quality, functionality, or cost efficiency.

  • Work closely with procurement to support supplier onboarding and material qualification.

R&D Project Support

  • Support internal and external R&D projects, including OEM and B2B collaborations.

  • Conduct product trials based on customer or partner development requests.

  • Assist in scaling up successful trials from pilot to production.

Shelf-Life & Quality Enhancement

  • Research and test methods to extend product shelf life while maintaining food safety and product integrity.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with operations, procurement, QA, and business teams to ensure feasibility and smooth execution of projects.

  • Liaise with suppliers and external partners to coordinate trials, testing, and technical evaluations.
